Balanced Diet is a healthy eating package based on the Dietary Rference Values - DRVs. 'Dieting' is a different matter and the package was not developed for this purpose. It may, however, be a useful assistant. If you are eating the Esimated Average Requirement (EAR) for food energy (ie calories) and gaining weight then you are one of the people who require less calories and vice versa. Your body is the best judge. If you are dieting then you still need to meet vitamin and mineral requirements and achieve a reasonable food energy balance. Balanced Diet is not a food intolerance or allergy package. If you suspect an intolerance to, for example lactose, then you should seek appropriate professional advice. |
