Balanced Diet considers all food energies, vitamins and minerals that are possible to compare between the Composition of Foods - fifth edition (the UK Nutrient Databank) and the Dietary Reference Values (DRVs). If you find that you are high or excessive in a food energy or nutrient, then use the Individual Food Contributions facility, available from the Food Analysis pages by pressing F2, to find out which foods are causing this, and reduce them in your diet. If you are low in a food energy or nutrient then use the Nutrient Content facility, available from the Food Selection menu by pressing F2, to find out which foods are good sources, and add one or more of these foods to your diet. If you are eating the Estimated Average Requirment (EAR) for total energy (Calories) and gaining weight, then you are one of the people who requires less and vice versa.
